Shimano shifting is always good, have SLX shifter on my Rail 9.7 gen 5+ thought Iād try XTR shifter for one of my winter upgrades this year.
I have several bikes, I started out years ago committing to SRAM as their Eagle was the first 12spd on the market, but I'm terrible at getting the right gear heading into any given scenario, therefore I was snapping chains and tearing off teeth. Tried a Shimano 12spd and it was all the difference!! I went full bore into the XT line because it was such a bargain, however, I treated myself to XTR for 2 bikes, mostly to save some weight. One has full XTR (shifter, deraileur and cassette_, the other the same but a XT shifter. The XTR feels solid, has a noticable shift click and smoother ramp up and down. Besides that, I've had 2 XT shifters fail on me. So, where funds allow, it'll be XTR from here.
Purchase was great and the price is reasonable
So smooth and precise. A joy to have on my bike
