Technologies

Tubeless ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure and therefore have better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with hose, and where there is no hose, the risk of breakdowns is also reduced. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tyres, because the bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. This means that tubeless mounting is successful with the first inflation and with little liquid on all rims that comply with the standard dimensions.

NEW EXO+ PROTECTION
Maxxis’s new EXO+ has a 60TPI casing as opposed to the old EXO+ that has a 120TPI casing. The new EXO+ casing is also coated in a new tear-resistant topping rubber. The rubberized EXO material is added to the sidewalls as well as a short butyl insert above each bead. This results in the new EXO+ having nearly twice the tread and sidewall puncture resistance with a roughly 20% increase in pinch cut resistance.

3C MaxxGrip
3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compounds to offer the ultimate in grip and slow rebound properties for unparalleled traction in downhill applications.

Wide Trail Casing
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes tread layout and tyre shape on today’s wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and are too angular on wide rims for optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but function perfectly on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
